Booking Terms & Conditions
These Booking Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings made via the Office Monkey platform (“Platform”). By confirming a booking, you (“Guest,” “User,” or “Renter”) agree to these Terms. Hosts (“Providers,” “Listers,” or “Owners”) also agree to be bound by these Terms when listing their spaces. Office Monkey acts solely as a booking platform and does not own, manage, or operate any listed spaces.
1. Definitions
- “Host” – The person or entity offering a workspace, desk, meeting room, training room, or event space on the Platform.
- “Guest” / “User” – The person or entity booking a space through the Platform.
- “Booking” – A confirmed reservation of a listed space.
- “Platform” – The Office Monkey website and related services.
2. Booking Process
- Bookings are confirmed only when full payment has been processed via the Platform.
- The Guest must review the listing details, pricing, amenities, and Host rules before booking.
- By completing a booking, the Guest enters into a direct agreement with the Host. Office Monkey is not a party to that agreement.
3. Use of the Space
- The Guest agrees to use the space only for lawful business or professional purposes.
- The space may only be used by the number of people agreed at the time of booking.
- Subletting, overnight stays, or residential use is strictly prohibited unless explicitly agreed by the Host.
- Guests must comply with all applicable laws, building rules, and Host requirements.
4. Duration of Use
- Bookings are made on an hourly or daily basis, as specified in the listing.
- Guests must vacate the space promptly at the end of the booked time. Additional time may be charged if overstaying occurs.
5. Payment & Fees
- All payments are made through the Platform.
- Prices are set by the Host, inclusive of any applicable taxes (unless otherwise stated).
- Office Monkey may charge a service fee for processing the booking.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellation policies are set by the Host and displayed on the listing.
- Refund eligibility depends on the Host’s stated cancellation terms.
- Office Monkey’s service fees may be non-refundable.
- In the event of a Host cancellation, the Guest will receive a full refund of booking fees.
7. Damage, Loss, and Liability
- Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required as a result of their use of the space.
- Hosts must report any damage within 48 hours of the booking ending.
- Guests may be charged for repair or replacement costs.
- Office Monkey is not liable for disputes between Hosts and Guests, but may mediate at its discretion.
8. Host Responsibilities
- Hosts must ensure spaces are safe, clean, and as described in their listings.
- Hosts must maintain valid insurance for their property and activities, where required by law.
- Hosts are solely responsible for compliance with health and safety regulations, accessibility requirements, and tax obligations.
9. Guest Responsibilities
- Guests must act respectfully toward Hosts, staff, and other users of the property.
- Guests must not engage in illegal activity, disruptive behavior, or cause nuisance to neighboring properties.
- Guests must return the space to the condition it was in upon arrival.
10. Insurance
- Office Monkey does not provide insurance for Hosts or Guests.
- Both parties are encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage for liability, accidents, or property damage.
11. Limitation of Liability
- Office Monkey provides the Platform as an intermediary service only.
- Office Monkey is not liable for:
- the suitability, safety, or legality of any space;
- the actions or omissions of Hosts or Guests;
- loss of profits, business interruptions, or indirect damages.
12. Termination of Booking
- Hosts may terminate a booking if Guests breach these Terms, engage in illegal activities, or fail to comply with property rules.
- No refund is owed in cases where a Guest is removed due to misconduct.
13. Changes to Bookings
- Guests may request changes to a booking (e.g., date, time, or duration). Approval is subject to Host consent and availability.
- Additional fees may apply.
14. Data Protection
- Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Booking Terms & Conditions.
